Handmade to order in our family workshop on the Essex and Suffolk border, these personalised kitchen jars are designed to be practical enough for everyday use and beautiful enough to leave proudly on display.

Choose Your Perfect Set

Our personalised oak-lid jars are available individually or as a coordinated set of three.

• Set of three 1 litre jars – a matching trio in the smaller size.
• Set of three 1.5 litre jars – ideal when you need a little more storage.
• Mixed set – two 1 litre jars and one 1.5 litre jar.
• Single 1 litre jar – perfect for adding to an existing collection.
• Single 1.5 litre jar – a lovely choice for biscuits, treats or larger pantry essentials.

All of the lids are made to the same dimensions and fit both jar sizes, so you do not need to match a particular engraved lid to a particular jar.

Jar Sizes

• 1 litre jar: approximately 11cm × 11cm × 14cm.
• 1.5 litre jar: approximately 11cm × 11cm × 20cm.

The square shape makes excellent use of worktop and cupboard space and allows the jars to sit neatly together or be stacked where suitable.

Handcrafted Solid Oak Lids

Every lid is individually handmade from sustainably sourced, FSC-certified European oak.

We choose solid oak for its strength, warmth and beautiful natural grain. Each lid is carefully cut, sanded and finished by hand, creating a smooth surface that feels every bit as lovely as it looks.

Because oak is a natural material, the grain, tone and markings will vary slightly from one lid to another. These natural differences are part of the character of real wood and mean every set is completely unique.

Airtight and Practical

Each solid oak lid includes a fitted seal to help keep the contents fresher for longer.

The thick glass jars are ideal for storing tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, sweets, granola, pasta, snacks and other everyday kitchen favourites.

The glass jars can be placed in the dishwasher. The oak lids and seals should always be removed first and washed carefully by hand.

Fox & Fern is a small, family-run business creating personalised solid oak pieces for the home.

Every lid is made individually in our workshop rather than taken from a warehouse shelf. From preparing the oak and cutting each lid to sanding, finishing and engraving your chosen wording, your order receives careful attention throughout the making process.

Care Instructions

• The glass jars are dishwasher safe.
• Remove the solid oak lids and seals before placing the jars in the dishwasher.
• Hand wash the lids using a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Do not soak or submerge the oak lids in water.
• Dry the lids promptly after cleaning.
• Do not place the oak lids in a dishwasher.
• Avoid harsh cleaning products and abrasive sponges.
• Reapply a suitable food-safe wood oil if the oak begins to look dry.

Please check your chosen jar size, quantity and personalised wording carefully before placing your order.

Personalised and bespoke products are made especially for you and cannot be returned unless faulty. Natural variations in the oak grain and colouring are not faults and form part of the unique character of your handmade product.

Jars are included with the solid oak lids. Any food, ingredients or decorative accessories shown in our photographs are for styling purposes only and are not included.
